Brooklyn, June 3, 2019 — Gamechanger Audio announced that it will be on hand for the Brooklyn Synth Expo and Stompbox Exhibit next weekend, demonstrating its latest revolutionary music creation tool: Motor Synth. Motor Synth, the world’s first electro-mechanical desktop synthesizer, was unveiled at Superbooth 2019 in Berlin last month and was subsequently endorsed by artists Jean-Michel Jarre and Richard Devine. The project was funded in just ten minutes through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo last week, where it is exclusively available in limited quantities until June 28th.
The Brooklyn Synth Expo and Stompbox Exhibit will take place on Saturday, June 8th between 12:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 9th between 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. at Lytehouse Studios, 356 Devoe Street in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. The exhibit will feature more than 80 vendors and manufacturers and attracted more than 2,500 attendees in 2018. Attendance is free, but RSVP is required.
In addition to its Motor Synth, Gamechanger Audio will also have its other products on display including the following:
- Plus Pedal: The company’s first product, launched at NAMM 2017, is the ultimate sustain pedal for guitarists and able to create droning, looping and chord effects using patent pending technology.
- Plasma Pedal: Launched in April of 2018, the Plasma Pedal is a high voltage distortion unit that transforms an instrument’s live signal into a series of continuous high-voltage discharges within a xenon-filled tube, producing a quick, responsive, and extremely heavy distortion.
- Plasma Rack is a 1U sized high-end audio effects unit designed for professional and studio applications. Plasma Rack extends the unique high voltage distortion concept behind the Plasma Pedal. Plasma Rack features large xenon tube that conducts audio signal at voltages of up to 5500 volts.
- Plasma Eurorack is a collaboration between Gamechanger Audio and Erica Synths — a leading synthesizer brand from Riga, Latvia. Plasma Eurorack extends the high voltage distortion concept of the Plasma Drive into the world of Eurorack, so it is accessible by modular enthusiasts around the world.
Motor Synth is scheduled to ship in December of 2019 and will be priced at approximately $1,299 USD. To learn more about Motor Synth, please visit the Gamechanger Audio product page. About Gamechanger Audio
Gamechanger Audio was founded by four friends committed to exploring the uncharted territories music electronics, to create devices that provide real value while stretching the imagination of both musicians and engineers.
The company has been praised for innovation in creating its inaugural PLUS Pedal, the world’s first sustain and sostenuto pedal for all melodic instruments, based around a proprietary audio algorithm that lets users capture and sample small parts of the connected instrument’s signal in real time and loop them into a seamless, warm, and responsive sustained tone; and its PLASMA Pedal follow-up, forming the basis of a unique approach within the realm of overdrive and distortion by transforming the connected instrument’s live signal into a series of continuous high-voltage discharges within a xenon-filled tube. The latter has since been applied to a 19” Rack format and Eurorack modular format.
The company intends to continue this path with it’s next product, Motor Synth, the world’s first electro-mechanical desktop synthesizer.
